I used it on my trailer but I wouldn't use it on my truck bed. You dont get the thickness for protection to use on the bed. It was good enough for my trailer. I would get line X for the bed. Also herculiner is $100 for the kit. U will be much happier with a spray on liner.
If you want a good DIY route, look into Raptor Liner, it's got the same UV protection Line-X has and is an all around great liner. A lot of the Jeep guys in my club use it.
For me it would depend on what you actually do with your truck. If it's a queen.... Line-X it. If you actually use the bed...Herculiner it. My reason is the any damage is easily fixed.
I understand Line-X has a warrenty, however, with Herc you can do it when you have time.
