OT: A few snowy pics from the Washington Cascades
Took a little two day trip over to my parent's place in the central Washington mountains and decided to take just a couple of truck and driving pics. Rolled in Friday morning around 10am and it was only 22f degrees, shut down and didn't restart until Saturday morning at a balmy 18f degrees (we've had some cooler weather here this week), and it managed to get down to 10f degrees overnight. She fired right up with zero troubles at 17f after 25hrs sitting unplugged on 4,500 mile old Rotella 15w40 dino...no romps and no smoke; made me happy.
Here's a couple pics of the red right before I took off. You can't really see it in the pics, but it was snowing pretty well at this point, just dry powdery stuff though (not that wet slop we usually get in Seattle):
Coming up the eastern side of Snoqualmie Pass just outside of Easton:
The Pass:
I have some more pics on my camera, these were all with my cell phone. I pulled off the highway onto an unplowed backroad with a couple of feet of fresh powder to let my dog out and play, truck performed great the entire trip; handled the snow with ease in town on unplowed roads and in the back country, and of course it was as comfortable as an 8,000lb Mercedes.

Thanks, we do have some great mountains over here. I know 10f is cold to us, but you Midwest guys probably call that sun tanning weather.
I really like the central Washington climate, I really wish we had it over here in the city. Colder and MUCH drier in the winter, and hotter and drier in the summer; it's a win-win as far as I'm concerned. Gotta love those mountain drives in the winter.

I'm a warm weather guy myself, I went to Fairbanks several years back to visit family on Christmas, as soon as I stepped out of the airport I saw a temp of -35f...I don't have thick enough skin for that.
