this is not my truck i am doing this for a friend of mine, so if you need any more info ill tell you what i can.
he has a 1994 ford pu f250 deisel (7.4 i think) and he had the fuel pump replaced and when he got the old fuel pump it had a piece of it broke off where the pushrod goes in the fuel pump (about 1 inch) is it possable for that part to go down inside of the motor and if so how far can it go down into the motor and where. the people that replace the fuel pump told him that it couldn't fall down in the motor but my friend says it can and the people that done the work did not show him the piece that broke off. also if you know of any websites that i can goto to view a picture of this or the motor that would help me. thank you for any help you can give me. James
The piece, as far as I know, would have a straight shot to the oil pan, which isn't necisarily a bad thing. It really wouldn't do any harm down there. As for pictures, do a search either here or on Yahoo for 7.3l pics. I am sure this site will come up a few times-
