Only recently has my mileage dropped. It's been consistently giving me 10mpg city 13 highway. I did a tune up a month ago, no codes and it runs smooth. The only thing I can think of is the air pump sounds like it has rocks for bearings. I've been meaning to get that changed out but I haven't save up the funds to do so. Could this be my culprit?

Question, do you live in an emissions control area? They make a delete pulley for the air pump, you just have to pinch off or plug the heads where the tubes go in. UPR sells them, good stuff.
If you live in the north you're getting winter gas by now. That always makes a hit in MPGs for everybody. Also, if you were using straight gas and then started using an Ethanol blend, 5-15%, then you'll definitely notice a drop off on mileage. If you did both, then it would seem like something really is wrong (and there is but not with your truck).
I live in Northern IL so yeah, probably getting winter gas. But everywhere around here is 10% ethanol. What's so special about winter gas that makes your gas mileage go down?
There's your problem. There's not much you can do about the winter blend if you're not willing to move to the south but if you can find a local station that sells non-ethanol fuel you can maybe get back .5-1.5 MPGs
Oh, as long as the air pump isn't completely locked up or has extreme drag it shouldn't put too much load on the engine. Any way you'll want to get it fix. If the bearings are bad it's only a matter of time before it fails and that would be a problem.
Don't know. I haven't had to change one out. Every time I've had one go bad I just pull it and toss it in the trash. I can't imagine that it would be any more difficult that changing an alternator or power steering pump pulley. You may need some special tools but any chain parts store should have them.
i would start scrounging around the wrecking yards for a replacement smog pump now. if that thing locks up you will loose a belt and probably not in a good place.
the winter blends suck and for sure reduce mileage agood 1-2mpg.
Out here in Pugetopolis, in the People's Republic of Washington, the winter gas formulation usually causes my fuel mileage to drop between 5-10%. We have up to 10% alcohol year-round, except at a few "pure-gas" stations (you can look them up here: Ethanol-free gas stations in the U.S. and Canada).
