here is the weight with the trailer hooked up but on a separate pad:
front axle- 4000; drive axle- 4440; trailer axle- 9920 = total axle-14760
weighed separately the truck weight 7520; trailer is 9940; total weight 14760.
4,000 + 4,440 + 9,920 = 18,360
this disagrees with your 14760 by 3,600#
7520 + 9940 = 17,460
this disagrees by 2,700# (I'll note that it has all of the same numbers... typing error?)
anyway... your trailer connected and disconnected are 9,920 and 9,940 respectively, which means you have a whopping 20# of tongue weight (I sure hope not)...
Your pickup with trailer connected and disconnected is 8,440 and 7,520 respectively, indicating a tongue weight of 920# which is still light for a 5th wheel trailer of that size.
TexasRebal, You're sharp, you caught that typo! The total axle on the last readings should be 17460lbs which makes sense. That's what I get for typing without my reading glasses. Funny how this whole thing is all about numbers and I mess up my grand finale. Also, when I was at the scales I found that my level bubble was off by 1.5", re-affixed that jasperelly too.
I will say it sure is nice not to worry about it anymore and to know the weights. Thanks to everyone for your support and direction. Happy Trails!!
