OK so I know all the holes are in the floor for either the captain or bench for the second row. From the pictures I have looked at for the early 2000 models it looks like you would have to make new holes in the carpet to go from a bench to Captain chairs but I also read something about how the process is easier if you have a 2003 or later.
So here is my question, if you have a 2005 limited with second row captain chairs would you have to put any NEW holes in the carpet to install the 60/40 bench for the second row?
I dont know, but if you have the captains chairs in a 2005 limited and are looking for the bench from a 2005 limited and want to trade, you're in luck. I have the bench and want the captains chairs. I also have a 2005 limited with the tan leather interior.
Take a look at your new bench seat hole patterns and see if they match the outer holes on the floor. if they don't then you need to lay it on and mark you new holes. Hope that helps..
To answer your question, yes you will. The middle seat seat belt and the clip for the left side seat belt go to two unused holes when you have captains chairs.
On 2003 and newer, all holes are there. Unused holes are not threaded but you use self tapping bolts to put it all together.
Fantastic thanks for the info. Unfort the 2005 I was looking at had some service demons pop up that made it a no go. Thanks again and hoping I get to put that info to use sooner rather than later.
