A 1.0 housing is great for normal driving. Spools up fast and gets more boost, etc. But, there always has to be a buy, I burned up a turbo using a 1.0. I pull really hard though and that's probably the reason. Your setup is looking good!!
That has to be the cleanest valley I've ever seen. Unlike mine, which small dogs have never returned from... WVO turns to this nasty gelatinous stuff when it dries up in there... Anyway, looking good!
I have a very usual valley, its full of rust. My water injection jet was leaking and the valley is all rust. I should pour some oil in mine and brush it around, LOL.
looks good i think i have a 1.0 with the after market wastegate which i plugged the vac hoses mine spools up fast the egts are little higher then i thought
I know with the stock turbo(1.15 A/R) and stage 2's my truck will peg a 1600* EGT gauge empty in my "race" tune. Towing 10-12k in my proper tow tune it will usually float up around 1400* on a decent hill. I've seen 1600* towing a couple times, but that was accelerating hard to get up to speed on the highway.. As soon as I back off it and settle at 65-70mph it would come down and cruise around 900*. That's my truck anyways.
Interested to see how you like yours. Keep us posted.
Safe is 1250 and spurs above that for a short length of time is OK. Short being five or ten seconds. I'll let it go if I'm just about to top a hill. Even with my water injection I can go to 1500 easy. Before the water it was a lot faster getting up there.
