Injector Problems?

I know this is a pretty broad question, but, could anyone tell me some of the signs and symptoms of an injector going bad or already bad? Also, can someone explain to me how to test the injectors? My truck is doing a lot of caughing (missing) lately. I have replaced the fuel filter, CPS, cleaned the screen at the FPR. And the truck keeps doing the same thing. I am desperate here. Thanks in advance.

Might just be the injector o-rings going bad. They're pretty easy to replace.

How was your fuel filter when you replaced it? Do you have a scanner to do the injector test?

Typical symptoms range from miss when cold then clears up as the motor warms, loss of mpg, loss of power....And some other odd things.
As mentioned, might just be o-rings causing yoru cough/sputter, really hard to say.

But if they have some miles on them and have never been worked on they are due for an Overhaul at least.

When I had one of my injectors go bad, I didn't even really notice it... mpgs were about the same, no big notice in power loss at higher rpms, but what really got it was between 1k and 1500 rpms, it shook like crazy! Real jerky when you accelerate, and clears up past 1500... it idle'd a little rougher, but not enough to be noticable if you don't pay attention to it... the exhaust smells richer too...

Well, I've only lost about 1 mpg I'm guessing. As far as the "miss" goes, there is no regular interval to it but it does happen a lot. It really seems to happen more frequently between 60- and 70 mph. It doesn't matter if it's hot or cold. Could I possibly have a bad injector? I just turned 210k and as far as I know, there has never been anything done to the injectors. I know for a fact not since 130k miles, that's when I bought it. I have heard that you can do an ohm test on the injectors. Is this true? And if so, how do you do it?
I'm gonna check the GPR just because I get a ton of smoke when I start it up, unless it's been plugged in.

On a side note, I have been told that the cough/ miss could possibly be caused by the TPS having a dead spot in it.

Sorry guys. Haven't had a chance to test them yet. I'm off tomorrow so I will test them tomorrow. I am looking forward to seeing what the test reveals. I honestly hope that it's not the injectors, but, right now I just want to get it fixed. I will let everyone know what I find out. Thanks for all the input.
