Just read that Google will let people 'opt out' of having their wifi routers mapped. (Not that Google keeps any PERSONAL data )
To do so, you add _nomap to your router's name. They even propose this as a standard.
How about this -- No mapping unless the name says _map! Maybe because they know that few would do that, and that most of us won't bother with the opt out stuff.
Man this 'notify me if you want this stopped' stuff gets really old.
Yeah, most smartphones hunt wifi anyway. I don't need Google to tell me where it is, my phone will find it. If it's secured, great, there's gonna be an unsecured option nearby anyway.
