Is there a good, dependable, aftermarket pump that works better than the SD pump for around the same price?

And can we get a pump from any SD or does it need to be a 7.3 for some reason?

I bought this as a spare, I don't know if its the SD brand or not.

eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

It says OEM, who know?

I paid $50 for the first SD pump and $45 for the second pump. Included the brackets, wiring and misc ford fuel connectors.

BUT i have a truck junkyard within 5-10 minutes of my house full of OBS and SD trucks.

So if availability is a concern, then have at it with an aftermarket pump

I'm running a single sd pump from napa and it's holding up good so far. My filter setup is very similar. The good thing about running the sd pumps is availability. If it quits most parts stores keep them in stock.

I thought about starting one and just keep adding to it as I do stuff to the truck.

Most of us on here just do a separate thread for each project we work on. A bit easier to find info about specific mods/repairs for those who need that info later on.

This write up used a 6.0 pump

I wonder if the 6.0 pumps are any better than the 7.3 pumps?

Looking at the write-up, I like how the pre-pump filter is part of the housing. Seems like it would be simpler to run lines for it...

Hey King. I was wondering what the specs are on the banjo bolt adapter you bought and what guage did you get? I have a pump coming and want to try and get other stuff together too. Gonna have to tightwad it for now.
