2012 offroad trips/adventures

in less than a month, Flip and I have to put in our dates for our vacations.

so.. lets start talking about our trip dates, and offroad events.

Frostbite is last weekend of Feb

South Dakota trip?
My kids get out of school the Friday before Memorial day, so that is the earliest I can go.

KHITRA Kick hole in the rock's booty.. some time in Sept?

Kamp Shute and Weele weekend in the spring? March or April something?

Any others? and when?

I vote Camp/Shoot/Wheel in early April. Probably won't make any big wheeling trips this year

I will probably hit the dunes in Waynoka sometime in the spring.
There is the hangover run (Jan 1) in Tuttle. Other then that I don't know any dates--

Wouldn't mind hitting Cathouse over by Hays "sometime"- maybe.

Maybe the weekend AFTER memorial day for S. Dakota?

I would love to do an out of state trip, but with a couple of other family trips planned already, it doesn't look to be in the cards financially.

Not off-road, but the Bullitt site I'm on is doing a route 66 trip from Chicago, IL to Chino Hills, CA the end of May. I plan on doing the two day stretch from Chicago to Yukon, OK on the 27th and 28th. Would be nice to have a co-pilot to take pics and keep me company.

Otherwise, I've got nothing planned for wheeling next year. I hope to hit the dunes alot more than I did this year. Maybe even get a rollbar in the truck and take it out.

Yup! I have driven a bit of it through MO. The section between Joplin and Springfield. Shorter that way for my old low mpg Ford 4X4's.

one more week for me to be able to plan these trips, so here is what I am tossing around, see if it works for you.
Sept 8-16th for Utah
May 26th-June3rd for South Dakota or optional spend the memorial day with family, then leave early on the 29th-June3.
talk it over discuss it, because I got to put in my days next Tuesday.

Are you going to try to fit in the Cathouse too Curt? Or is it out of the cards for another smaller trip

That might be a possibility, and I want to do it, but I don't know yet if it is a possibility for this year with two big trips in the works. I am also thinking that Frostbite might be out for me this year, depending on work's schedule, and finances. I got some things I got to fix on the Jeep before South Dakota, and it depends on what that ends up costing me. I also have some debts I need to repay before I tackle anything too major.
