I've been dealing with multiple reoccurring issues and they don't like to own up to anything. I've actually had them say NO, then I tell them of a TSB, then bla bla bla.
I've had the radiator, injector clamps (flat bed 3 times), severe oscillation (death wobble), and EGR valve vacuum line issue (supposed cause, currently in the shop).

Haha damn, you've had it a lot worse than me to be honest.
I'm supposed to hear back from ford today... crossing fingers.
Well guys, i just got a call from my dealership and they said that Ford has agreed to pay most of it... and I'd be responsible for $312. I am happy that ford stepped in and I'm not left with the whole bill. My dealership said the cost of the repair is between 2200 and 2400... which i think is overpriced, but oh well... the situation is resolved and I'm 90% happy about it lol.
Cost of repair is only a couple hours labor plus parts. They wanted you to feel better.
Still 312 bucks is much better than 1200 bucks.
I know it's not a complicated repair... but they quoted me that price before i even told them i was going to contact the Ford customer service.
The other dealership near my house gave me a similar ball park price.
I am still not able to PM anyone... i haven't reached the 10 posts i'm assuming.
Sorry for bringing this old thread back up, i just feel we need to voice these issues so that more people are aware that they are actually happening... and hopefully that way Ford will issue a recall or TSB.
Hi D.T.R,
Once you have 10 posts, you should be able to PM me. Let us know what you find out from the dealership. It sounds like you've already reached out to my colleagues at the Customer Relationship Center, but if you need their number, it's 1-800-392-3673.

Do you know what's the warranty on the new radiator they will be putting in my truck? also, what would most likely happen if the new radiator goes bad again in another couple of yrs?

24 months, unlimited mileage. If it fails after that point you'll be buying another one.
Failing radiators have been a Ford diesel issue since 2008. Would be nice if they could get this figured out.

You'd think that if it happens again is even further confirmation that there is an issue with the radiators and they should cover it 100% ? I don't know, maybe i'm crazy lol

You're not crazy, but this has been a known issue since 2008, and the normal warranty coverage has always applied. Some folks have had luck reaching out to Ford Customer Service and asking for assistance, but that's had varying degrees of success. Those who become combative and start making demands have roughly a 0% success rate.
There's no good answer here. Some suggest aftermarket Mishimoto replacement radiators with a lifetime warranty, but those can fail as well and you're still on the hook for labor and shipping. There's lots of speculation as to what's causing them to fail, but I haven't read anything conclusive.

I'm not gonna lie, i was already getting ready to order a mishimoto radiator if ford would have asked me to cover any more than $500. I'm pretty handy with wrenching on cars. I always fix and maintain my cars myself if/when they're out of warranty so i wouldn't necessarily be paying for labor. Just parts. If the mishimoto failed, I'd have to take it out again and send it back... although it would suck to keep doing this, but it wouldn't cost me anything other than time.
