Fuel Filter change

Changed filters today after looking at video and e-mails did not know about check valve as I drained about 1 gal out before reading all.A quetion I have ,when I tightened housing on DFCM it says to tighten till it stops.when i did this it stopped about 1/8 trun past where it was wires would not reach,I backed it till wires reached primed and started truck all seams OK. did take back apart before priming all looked good.Do I have a problem?About 15K on truck filters looked good no evidence of contamination

Tighten until you hit the positive stop. If that happens to place your wires in a bad place, I would unthread and rotate and see if you can catch a different thread so you end up hitting the positive stop.

Run through the prime procedures again to be on the safe side once you follow what PH said.

PH, is the new o-ring OK after an unthread?

If it's running fine you're not sucking air. You shouldn't have a problem .

What check valve? I have watched the video and read the manual but didn't notice anything about a check valve. Am I missing something?

I did not know about check valve either. When I first drained filter it would not stop draining.Went back and read responses to video. One of them says there can be a problem when tank is over 1/2 full but if you loosen canister 3 turns a check valve will stop fuel flow.Worked for me.I also primed and started truck after each fiter was changed.
