Hey guys, this is what i got to work with... PO cut out reverse wireing switch harness and this is what i got. I need to know where the two wires from the switch on my t19 go and what the heck to do with the others. THANKS
check for hot at the tranny. one should be hot if not iirc they dont matter the switch works both ways. then fun the other wire to the reverse lights its easy. should be easier than finding stock crap in the harness and trouble shooting any other issues. also you can put it in reverse with the motor off and key out to use them as work lights.
thats off my main harness. i have no brake lights and reverse lights stay on when the tow darker ones are connected. ****er turned over on me when some combination of them were touched. i have a t19 tranny i dont believe there are any wires going to it other than the reverse switch. i just dont know what color wire goes where
The two red wires will complete your ignition circuit (be careful not to start in gear). The purple and orange and black and orange are for your reverse lights. Wire those to a toggle switch and you'll be good to go.
Yeah, just be careful not to start it in gear...might want to make sure you parking brake is good too. You might accidentally ghost ride your whip if you leave it parked on a hill in gear.
No, it just bypasses the neutral safety switch. So as far as the ignition circuit is concerned, you are always in park or neutral regardless of where the transmission actually is.
Forgot to add that since it is a manual, if it's allowed to roll in gear it will be able to start. The key would have to be left on though, so it shouldn't be a big concern unless you're in the habit of letting the truck stall out to shut it down.

Even with the clutch start switch operating it would start in that scenario.
