I knew id get crap over a dana 30, the reasons i plan to use a dana 30 are that its a ranger not fullsize, its a good length, and when its breaks there cheap and easy to find.

I would love to use a dana 44 but there overpriced and usaully to long

First sentence said he eventually wanted to do a sas..

Hydro steering, assist or full isn't needed IMO with tires smaller than 40s.....

What year Ranger is this? My first thought is how rediculous it is to spend the time/money doing an SAS with an axle that is already smaller than what you have now. I broke stuff pretty easily with my Ranger and 33s, 35s were even worse.

Id really spend a little time looking for a set of EB axles - preferably one that came with disk brakes on the 44 up front. 76-77? or was it 75 also?

negative. i kindly told the op to shove it because even with a d30 hydro was pissing money away because you're still limited to 35's or less(and still breaking everything) which the stock p/s and box can handle.

Wow, I need to start reading the off road forum section more. Pretty entertaining. I would agree that the hydraulic steering on something that small is a terrible idea.

not really. it is just that the newer kinder has started to find it's way into posts.

and we are editing or deleting posts like the one you made last night to keep it that way.
