I'm working on my friends 1990 F150, 2wd, 6cyl EFI.
I'm currently making sure the timing is alright on his truck. I'm cleaning everything off and I found a set of timing marks cast into the right side of the timing cover, then I found a timing pointer with it's own set of timing marks on the left side of the cover.
Can anyone tell me which one I should be paying attention to on this vehicle?
Not sure about the 90 but on my 85 I was told it was the one on the right, behind the alternator. Never been able to get a light to where I can actually use it to set mine so just use a vacuum gauge.
