Just picked up my used (new to me) 2010 F250 v10 4x4 king ranch yesterday!
I had been reading posts on this forum and it seems like the V10 is a good, reliable engine - found this one and decided to pull the trigger.
I bought it 400 miles away from home so I got a chance for a little highway driving on the way back.
Nice ride!
Congrats on the truck and welcome to the FTE! How about some pics of your new ride? Like you, I bought mine far from home as well. I left Northern California at 5 AM on Thursday, picked up the truck in Logan, Utah and left the car lot at 4 PM and drove the 1,000 miles+ home, arriving back at 4 PM on Friday. It was great and I loved every inch of the solo drive. Comfy heated seats, nice driving truck and a pretty good sound system to listen to a book on CD to help pass the time. Now, don't forget those pictures!
Congrats on your new truck! Here's to many many trouble free miles! Post some pics when you get a chance.
The secret is out on the v10's. People are travelling long distances to get their hands on one. I'm one of them. Live in WY, couldn't find one locally, bought my '05 F350 in SanDiego back in 2007. It's my 2nd V10 and has been the best truck I've owned to date.
Welcome to the club (or cult, I'm not really sure). =)
Ha! "Cult!" I like that one! From the outside we must look like total whack jobs, buying trucks that get worse mileage, don't blow black smoke all over creation and are quiet. But to most people who own one, I for one feel like I'm in on a secret. I mean the thing NEVER breaks, it's got all the power I need and I feel that for what it is, it get's GREAT mileage! Long live the V10 cult!
