Not sure what year your Navi is, but if your lucky you should have the honkin DOHC 32-valve engine with the husky 4R100 tranny!

Yup! That sounds like one of those guys. Call another dealer and then call his manager and suggest that he be promoted/reassigned to a position for which he is more suited.

That's the one. Some parts guys really know thier stuff and some can do nothing if the parts listing does not tell them.

Ask for Mike Yeager. Tell him "ProjectSHO89 from SHOForum" sent you. Mike will take care of you.

Good luck!
Just want to say thanks again, spoke with Mike today and he had a chance to check out my truck, come to find out the reason why it was hitting 3000rpm - 4000rpm before shifting was the truck was bypassing second all together. So yep it needs to be rebuilt. I will be down at his shop tomorrow and getting things set into motion so that I can get my baby back. Mike told me he could have my truck back to me by next week, so I am kinda of pump about it. Wish I could have had this done before Thanksgiving would love to have driven my baby to NC to really test the tranny.

Thanks Again

I want to say thanks again, Northgate Transmission did a great job with my transmission. My big baby is shifting smoothly and I am really impressed with the big difference in the shifting. I was really floored when he asked if I can bring the truck back in two weeks so that he can take a look at it just to make sure things are ok. The turn around time was unbelievable, when Mike told me that he personally checks every tranny his guys touch I was really impressed and for my size truck and the price was under 3K I was really surprised (and happy) especially for a total rebuild. I also told him you referred me to him and he said he remembers you. Thanks Again for the referral. Now if I can only find a mechanic that can give that exact same service I would be in heaven. LOL
