Ranger Noise Problem

I own a 09 Ranger4.0 that has been Supercharged, purchased through Explorer Express. To date everything has been working fine until a week ago.
I will include in this post what the Auto Shop stated to me yesterday.

This is the message I received from Mathewsons Automotive in Renton WA.

TROUBLESHOOT NOISE,TEST DROVE REPEATEDLY And CHECK , FOUND THAT AT IDLE WHEN ENGINE IS UNDER LOAD FROM AC COMPRESSOR THAT THE IDLE AIR CONTROL MOTOR ACTION MAKE'S A BONGO DRUM TONE THRU AIR INTAKE , AT TIMES THE CONTROL TRIE'S TO COMPENSATE FOR CHANGE IN IDLE CAUSING A MORE RAPID SUCCESSION OF BONGO DRUM TONE'S. Dave at explorer express may of heard of this problem before. I can be annoying though it it will not hamper performance. Has anyone run into a problem like this?

What's "Supercharged?"

Is that the turbo or the other one?

It is the XC-90 Supercharger from Explorer Express. It was shipped here and installed by Mathewson's in Renton WA. This is the 2nd one they have installed from this company.

The truck runs great. I have completely re-worked the under side with front and rear sway bars, Bielsteen shocks along with dual exhaust headers and a K/N air supply system.
The truck on the dyno shows 368 HP 313 Torque, AFR Avg: 12.1. Came with the new 3015 SCT Programmer, New fuel Injectors 39lb cobra, changed original gears from 3.55 to 4.10. can't think what else. If only the noise wasn't their it would be perfect.

a supercharger is a BLOWER , not a turbo !

I don't believe I ever used the term Turbo. I know what a supercharger is. Why ask the question. Read the message?????

does the bongo sound come from the IAC motor ?
with the AC on the IAC motor will adjust the idle , is there any carbon build up in there ?
is there any thing loose on the AC compressor , bolts brackets ?
could the IAC motor be bad ?

The noise happens when you are at Idle and you turn on the A/C ****? It also happens when you turn on the heater to.

IAC noise is a common problem. My 99 makes a Woooooo sound when the A/C cycles on, or when the engine rpm is between idle & about 2000 rpm. It doesn't hurt anything, it's just annoying. Some folks have had success cleaning them as has been suggested, or replacing them to get rid of the noise. Replaced my IAC for hanging up idle, but the aftermarket IAC Wooooo's also!!!!! The Ranger is wired such that "Vent" & "OFF" is the only setting that the A/C compressor doesn't cycle.

More thoughts for pondering, let us know if cleaning helps.
