CFM+/AFE intake questions

I'm looking into getting one of these. They say they flow better(AFE 18% and 15%)(CFM+ just says 15%). Claim to drop egts and gain mileage. Anyone have any experience with these? Haven't seen too many in sigs. Thanks

You don't see many in sigs because most feel they are a waste of money. They are more bling that anything.

If you want polish the inside of yours. It will flow smoother anyway.

I like the 2 piece design, and the ports for gauges and nos or water/meth right on the intake. They claim to flow better so I don't see why turbo wouldnt spool better.

Sounds like they've done a pretty good sell-job and that you've pretty much already made up your mind, Tyler.

If someone would buy me one, i will install it on my truck, dyno my current setup and then dyno with the CFM back to back and that will tell you if it flows more and better. LOL

I ported and smoothed out my stock spider. I see ~10* above ambient with the modded spider and my larger IC.

I bet its the larger IC that makes the most difference for you, Roland, although I do understand and like the concept of smoother sidewalls for anything that flows liquids or gases (vapors).
