I like the simplicity of changing Disc brakes, a buddy of mine told me he bought a, Brake Drum to Disc conversion kit for his 07 Chevy Silverado. I was wondering if there's something like this on the blue oval side, and what exactly I should ask for when calling for parts? Also who might have the best deal, when it comes to refurbs and recertified brake parts. So far the guys at Auto Zone had no clue what I was talking about, and NAPA doesn't carry anything like that for my truck (93 XLT V8 5.0). I would like to get a conversion brake kit, because I've seen how hard it is to change drum brakes, & I really don't want to put any back on, I'd rather just buy a conversion kit and put disc brakes on instead.
Well I can't believe nobody replied to this message. Of course there are disc brake conversion kits for these F150's. I am assuming you have the Ford 8.8 rear end. Wilwood makes conversion kits you can get through Summit Racing. Also, other kits are out there, but I've done a lot of research on doing this swap in my 86 F150, and the Wilwood was the simplest. Keep in mind, you may have to swap out the master cylinder and proportioning valve as well. Good luck.

I have whatever the stock 89-95 F150's rear end come with.
I live in a Major Metro area of Kansas City not very many hills here in my part of town, and it's not like I'll be towing anything, so I'm fine with not having a parking brake.
this link has a kit for your truck, and there are other sites as well other than wilwood, you can always manufacture your own to, just buy the rotor and caliper and make your own bracket to bolt everything together.

I honestly have no clue what the rear end ratio is set for.
