I have done some reading on here but can't seem to find the answer I am looking for. Will the PIE/PAC adapters work on a 2007 stock 6-disc with aux button? I keep seeing them 1999-2006, what are the option for 2007 then? I also saw it mentioned somewhere that an 07 has wires there already to plug into? Could someone shed some light on the situation, I don't want to order up the wrong thing, nor do I really want to pull the dash apart until its time to install something unless I absolutely have to! Thanks
Call crutch field and give them your description. I believe then FRDAux PIE adapter will work for you. I have a 2005, and it works great. Crutch field can also send you the steps to take apart dash without breaking stuff. It's a pretty easy job, just got to take your time.
Wondering of the OP could follow up with his findings? I'm wondering of the 2007 has the wires ready to be plugged into of if he needed the adapter; and if so, which one?
There is some question on whether or not the PIE adapters will work.
If you replace the 2007 radio with a 2006 (from the same truck or a Focus) they'll work. SOME of the 2007 radios will work; SOME will not.
The wiring is NOT already in place.
The reason for the scatter-gun answer is that in the 2007 model year, Ford was transitioning from analog (individual pin) wiring to CAN-Bus wiring for some radio functions, and it's a crap-shoot on what any individual truck got.
There is documented around here a test to see whether or not it will work. The search function should help a bunch...
