Has anyone had the experience of a broken spring on the back of a 2003 f150? What kind of cost am I looking at? I'm in Canada. Thanks for all your anticipated responses.
Just glance at Part Guy Ed's site your looking at $165 to 201 not including shipping.
For comparison LMC Truck has a bit wider selection but they run $250-300 not including shipping.
Two points that I would recommend is replace both sides as I would think on a truck as old as any of our trucks a new spring going to have different rate of movement compared to the other old spring.
Also I would look in to replacing the stock rubber bushings that come with the springs with some polyurethane bushings. They last longer and every truck I have driven with them felt noticeably more planted and controllable. Just my .02 cents.
I went to the local pic-a-part to get one for My 02 F150. I got the whole leaf spring for $35 US. It took about a hour and a impact gun to replace it.
Just make sure that You get the wright one for Your truck. Scott
