Here we go.....again

When CR rated the Honda Ridgeline as the best pickup, IMO...their credibility sank to a new low. Ridiculous!
It's a unit-body, based off the Honda Pilot...so it's next to worthless except as a grocery getter, or for hauling plants home from Home Depot.
It's also hideously ugly...almost as bad as the double ugly Pontiac Aztec.
The Ridgeline's sales have been so poor recently, ditto the Honda Element, both are slated to be cancelled.

[quote=tseekins;11098358]But the thing is gentlemen, most of here are getting the advertised numbers out of our EB trucks running 70+ when possible. There are some exceptions like in Ed's case where the truck just doesn't seem to want to cooperate.
The only thing that bugs me is that this thread will become poor advertising for Ford. Someone will Google Ecoboost MPG and this thread is likely to pop up and may convince someone to steer clear of an ecoboost truck.

I know of VERY few that have 4x4s and or 3.55 or 3.73 that can get the advertised numbers. I don't know what posts you have been reading but 99% with the configuration I mention above get 17-18 @ 70. A far cry from the EPA rating.

That's actually within the EPA standards. I just looked at my factory sticker.
The two large numbers say: 15 city ------ 21 highway
Below these two large numbers it clearly says: 12-18 city------17-25 highway.
People are getting all bunged up over the lower portion of the EPA rating but it's still within the advertised standard.
Ed didn't achieve the higher MPG's with his truck but his MPG's for the most part were still within spec.
