1982 Bronco
Hey guys. I have always wanted a 78 or 79 Bronco. Recently I found a 1982 Bronco 1982 FORD Bronco 4X4 I really like the two tone paint and that it is pre Speed Density eletronic crap. Back in 1985 I had a F150 4x4 351W and liked it and recently my son had a 92 5.0 F150 stepside. So, I feel that moving from the 78/79 era to the 80's is an ok option. With that being said, what advise can you all give me about this yr of Bronco? What to look for and watch out for? Thanks. I don't mind a project.

Have a look at the FAQ link in the first thread in the forum. The full-size Bronco's quirks and pitfalls (of which there are few) are easily spotted. Considering the wealth of information on the model on the whole, any information listed for the full-size in general is applicable across most model years simply because Ford, in their true fashion, didn't mess with something that worked for the most part. So, if it means you are looking for typical Ford-truck rust over the rear wheels or along the bottom of the tailgate, or enjoying the reliability of the nearly unstoppable 300 or one of the venerable Ford V8's, the information you find on the full-size is transferrable, if you will, to the entire production run from 1978-1996 with a few very minor exceptions.
