battery inicator
I have a 2008 f350 diesel that was just recently serviced, belts and idiler pulley replaced. Two days later there was a humm in the motor when it was at an idle and the battery indicator came on. Anyone have any imput

I guess the battery indicator means you need a new battery or that there is a problem with the charging system. So could the humm be an alternator bearing, they usually kind of rattle when they go bad, but I guess it could be a humm. To find the source of a loud bearing, let the truck idle and take a screwdriver and hold the blade end on the alternator and put the handle to your ear. If the bearing is bad you will know it. Also works with any other belt driven part. Be careful.
