I guess the battery indicator means you need a new battery or that there is a problem with the charging system. So could the humm be an alternator bearing, they usually kind of rattle when they go bad, but I guess it could be a humm. To find the source of a loud bearing, let the truck idle and take a screwdriver and hold the blade end on the alternator and put the handle to your ear. If the bearing is bad you will know it. Also works with any other belt driven part. Be careful.
