wind deflector for towing

Any thought on the wind deflectors that mount on top of the cab for pulling trailers?
prices?
brands?
gas savings?

Thanks in advance

Couldn't let this one go un-noticed.

IMO, a deflector won't do much good unless you have it mounted to a topper so that it's right infront of the trailer. If it's cab mounted you're going to end up with turbulence between the deflector and the trailer thus making it pretty useless.

What were your thoughts?

have seen a few and talked to a guy that has them mounted on the truck over the rear doors (as far back as possible) and they work great. Average of about 10% savings on gas. I also have a shortbed truck so the trailer is pretty close and also the bed haa a cover. Not sure what I am going to do. Just trying to get some opinions and thanks for yours.

Those are usually used when the trailer is a 5th wheel and the mount for it is actually in the bed of the truck. Not saying it won't work but won't be as helpful.
