So i finally was able to install a vacuum gauge on my 74 highboy and considering i am at almost 5000 feet above sea level i run right at 18 inches at an idle yet while i am cruising at 50 mph i run a steady 11 inches.
So what i am wondering is this normal or am i looking at a problem or do i just need to do some adjustments and fine tuning?
From all that i have read the 18 inches at idle is normal for the elevation i live at but if someone could confirm this it would put my mind at ease for not being at 21 inches of vacuum.
