Projector Headlights

I just recently purchased the H13/9008 bi-xenon 5000K HID Kit from ThirdGP.com, and now I am wondering where I could get the projector headlights to clean up the scattered HID? Thanks in advance for the help.

I've been scoping out the ones on ebay for a while now. You can get them for the 09+ trucks for about $215 shipped. They look the same as the $400+ projecters from other sites, but I'm not quite confident enough to pull the trigger yet.

Although judging from your screen name it sounds like you need them for a 90. In which case you'd probably have better luck in that forum.

Also, I hope you aren't driving around with HID bulbs in a reflector housing blinding everyone.

ebexp94,
Yeah I haven't received the HID's yet, i'm awaiting shipment. So Ebay is a good place to start? As for the screen name, i kept it from my first F-150 I owned. My current vehicle is the one in my sig.

Haha guess i should have thought of that. No signature in the mobile version of the site. Same deal for me, my screen name comes from my first truck, a 94 explorer.

Recon are the high price projectors that everyone with our trucks and bottomless pockets gets. But there are identical lights on ebay for about $215. I've seen people say they bought them and theyre good, so I will probably get them eventually.

EDIT: Updated with a link now that I'm not on my cell phone. These are what I will get for my truck eventually.

BTW, where did you order your HID bulbs from? How much did you pay?

I got similar (Eagle Eyes brand) from eBay for the same price. Keep in mind that these projectors are designed for Halogen bulbs, so although putting HID bulbs into them is better than into halogen reflector bowls, they will still impart some unwanted glare on oncoming traffic as the cutoffs are different.

Their "stock" light output with their Halogen bulbs is on par with OEMs for the low beam (take it for what it's worth as there are those that complain of the light output of stockers) the high beams are noticeably worse than OEM.

Having said all that, I will try some drop in HIDs some day...
