1987 F150 - New Head Lights

So I bought these over a year ago and have just been lagging on installing them. Over half the work is done and the install should be complete tomorrow night if the rain doesn't keep up.

Anyway, I was finally forced to finish up this project before I could move in to the next one .

Old:

New:The housing will be sprayed a flat black and the only chrome is going to be the shroud.

They will be aimed correctly and will not have any glare since I am installing them with projectors.

The lenses were custom made, I made them myself. This the first set and I'm going to make a few more so that I have them on hand.

Its not the brightness of HIDs that blind you. Its the glare of HID bulbs in headlights meant for halogen bulbs.

The projectors will have no glare.

Glad you were able to see the new clear lens now.

I know what you mean about those bulbs that people put in thinking it looks cool, I can't stand it and hate when cars or trucks drive behind me with those. And that's not even the end of it, It gets worse when your driving on a two way road and the car coming in the opposite direction has them.....

Almost ready for a test of the beams cutoff before sealing them. I'm just putting in the wiring right now.

Yes exactly a truck with HIDs needs that wide beam beam that these things put out.
