battery light on
I have a 2006 explorer v6 the battery light went on today? My wife said it made a clicking noise when trying to start the other day but the battery is pretty new does this mean my alternator is bad?

Not necessarily. You should start by cleaning and greasing all the main battery and ground connections.
When you have them all cleaned, use a MM and check the battery and charge voltage,

- fully charged battery = 12.4 to 12.6vdc
- charge voltage = 13.8 to 14.4vdc

That means nothing to me, did you clean the connections??
The battery cannot charge if you have bad circuits....
When you have battery and grounds clean, start truck and check charge rate.... Philip
