What's your F350 GVWR?

Hi guys,
If / when the time would ever come, I'd want to go from my F250 to an F350 4x4 CC SRW and highest GVWR I can get. I see quite a few possible options for the 2012, from 10,700 to 11,500. If I read this right, the GVWR for this truck would be 11,500?

Thanks ya'll

Looking at that chart, what's up with the F-350 SRW 4x4 172" between the 11,200 and the 11,500? What am I missing with the 11,200 showing greater max payload than the 11,500? Is this chassis cab vs P/U?

Just a guess but I'd say that the 11,200 GVWR is a gas truck and the 11,500 is a diesel.

For the record, the only mechanical difference between the F250 and F350 SRW trucks is the rear spring pack and the 2" taller rear blocks. And if said F250 has the camper package the spring pack is identical.

I wouldn't buy another truck for the increased capacity. Much cheaper to just buy a set of airbags!

Don't Hydro boost brakes fit mechanical? 350 has them. 250 has vacuum assist

For 2012 it has to be a DRW to have Hydroboost brakes, all SRW are vacuum boost. IIRC

A dual wheel truck has higher GVWR than the single wheel truck.

1. Go to www.fleet.ford.com.
2. Select "Showroom", "Truck Bodybuilders/upfitters"
3. Select "Publications", and then "Vehicle Specifications"

Looks like you're right though, the F350 SRW diesel trucks do have hydroboost brakes. The gas SRW trucks have vacuum boost. I get a little confused sometimes because my 2008 F250 had hydroboost brakes.

Attached is the specs sheet for 2012.

Crazy001. Hey thanks for the confirmation. I started to think these new tri-focals were playing tricks on me.I thought it would be kinda nuts if they did delete them on a 350.

I don't really see why. I recently had the pleasure of driving 2000SilverBullet's 6.2L truck. The vacuum boost brakes were easily capable of locking all 4 wheels while loaded down with 2,000 lbs tongue weight. The GVWRs are within 200 lbs of each, and so I would say that the vacuum system on the SRW trucks is every bit as capable as the hydroboost is.

Originally HydroBoost brakes were on diesel trucks because there is no manifold vacuum to power a brake booster. I guess in recent years they decided it was cheaper to mount a vacuum pump.

Thanks ya'll. I'm way out from replacing the 7.3 but was curious. Wanted to stay srw but go long bed. 11500 is much better than my 8800 f250
