engine missfire at higher speeds
while driving the truck the motor will lose all power when I give it the go pedal. I had no problems this morning but on my way home it started to do this. When I speed up from a light or stop sign, it feels just as powerful as normal.
It will not die, I just cant give it more than 1/4 throttle. If I take it out of gear it idles great. The truck slows down to about 30 and then regains power. Its an intermittent problem and I am stumped.

If the pump is weak (or the filter is clogged) it won't be able to deliver the fuel required at higher speeds or under high load conditions, but will be enough to keep the engine running when it requires less fuel (cruise/idle).

Ok I bought a new filter on my way home and will change that shortly.
When I moved the truck from the front to the garage, the fuel pump priming sounded like it was full of rocks (it sounded really bad)

Ok. New fuel filter, inline pump, still runs like crap.
front cat gets hot, second not so much, but i didnt drive much (because it runs like ****)
Possible clogged cat??
