Sorry for the ignorance... Dtc stands for what? And thanks for the info... I know the code is for the egr bc it has been deleted i just dont want the light to reappear bc of the same thing bc the cause wont change ya know.... I heard you have to change the perameters or something..

Something like that, but a SCT tuner is only the method to install the tune. You still need the "tune" (software) for the truck. Since your EGR cooler has been deleted...and your running a '05 truck you'll need a custom tune to address the CEL for the lack of EGR flow. Something like this is what you might want to look into:

Using SCT's Xcal 3, Gearhead Automotive Performance has programs available that extract extra mileage and performance over the already good pre-loaded programs provided by SCT on the SF3 device. We recommend the default files in the Xcal device for the average driver but if you want extra performance Gearhead can supply you with custom files after your purchase.
