Thermostats

I have replaced 4 thermostats in 5 years. I have used the StanT and Thompsom which apparently are the same company. The damn things always stick !

I called the factory and they deny that there could be any problem. Their customer service said that a thermostat should be replaced each year. I can believe it if you use their's.

Anybody have the same problem or have a solution ?

My mechanic recommends buying the thermostat from the dealer. Try a motorcraft, and see if it does you any better.

I recently bought a Motorcraft 192° thermostat from my dealer for $4.97, list price is $7.36. The gasket was 50¢.
