I had a PS2. Didnt "WOW" me... Then the PS3 came out with that GOD awful price tag. And ask a game developer, they hate the PS3. Yes it has powerful CPU and GPU, but they are nearly impossible to write software for. Thats why it took so long for PS3 games to take off, and even longer for ones with great graphics; developers were struggling to figure out how to write the new code.

Most people dont care about that, me included. Its the price tag and better internet play I like. But I will admit, XBOX LIVE has been crappy lately.

and i think ive heard of skyrim, name sounds familier

and grey i agree, ive been diein for a jet sim. and they FINALLY came out with the new Ace Combat, which in my opinion cant get any more close to real life. ive never seen or heard of any heli sims lately

Not sure if you ever played oblivion, but it is the predecessor to skyrim, they are rpg games, which are more my interest. It is to be released on 11/11/11.

The best thing about the PS3 is the built in bluray

I don't mean to bash SONY - but a guy across the road has been through three crashed PS3's so far.

I'm on PS2 number three now - but they put up with so much crap from me they deserve burial with honors!

~I love sims. Electronic Arts built some of my favorite racing games...

I know a lot of "EXPLOITS" for NFS Most Wanted on PS2

Played Nintendo and Super Nintendo games with my kids when they were growing up. My first PC game was "Pools of Radiance" on a friend's 286 waaayyyy back when. My first FPS was with Castle Wolfenstein and DOOM. Played several mapper "WADS" for DOOM (Mods) through BBS. Over the years, its' been different PC game genres. Sims, FPS, Rpgs, Crpgs, Isometric, 3rd person action/military et.c.

Currently I have Morrowind, Oblivion (looking forward to Skyrim) RUNE/Halls of Valhalla onboard. The latter two especially because I admin the official website for the developers. Gives you a better insight what goes on "behind the scenes". The better communities are more like "families" who are more liable to help each other than bash. Great way to "meet and socialize" with other gamers all over the world in MP. A more positive experience than some are led to believe.

Yes, the consoles may have power but you can't mod for them. This is what has helped extend gameplay and life for several popular/cult classics. Fans coding, mapping, skinning and "what have you" using the game's "construction kits/Editors" creatively.

Makes you wonder what the guy does? I've still got my original PS2 and I only bought my PS3 2 years ago, but my older bro has had his PS3 since they came out and only once did his crap out. They replaced it and paid the shipping on it as well cause he had to send his to them.

rangerfan, its all opinionated. Both the Xbox and PS3 has its perks. graphics are practically the same. you have to pay to play online with Xbox, you dont for PS3. and when you download a game on the PS3 other friends can download the game from you for free. Xbox you cant. PS3 has blueray. in all honosty i would go with a PS3 just because there just as good as an Xbox except free online.

baa baa black sheep: X-plane9 on PC. gonna be building a new desktop in the upcoming month that can handle it better than my laptop. PC works for me. for just a tad more than a ps3 I can build one that can be easily fixed, and can build as far as my wallet can carry me. and it has many other uses as well.

I have a friend that is really big into MW and has tried to get me many of times to get a ps3 so I can play him. but after the story is over, I can't stay entertained for more than 20 or 30 minutes.

I have fixed a few ps3's however and can tell you that heat is usually the cause, and to make sure they are well ventilated.

well here is what i think between a PC and a console... PC makes games alot more easier to play, and you can change the controles and make everything alot easier. PS3 does not. BUT! with a console you can pick up a game off the shelf and it plays, with a PC you have to make sure you have the right requirements to play it. so that after a few years you would need to UPGRADE your PC to play the newer games.

just yesterday i put a PS3 on layaway for myself 160gig slim. so excited!
