Thirsty Thursday went perfectly. As I'm sure Foamy Friday will as well. Got a buddy almost here from Florida - going to be pouring suds down our necks out in the barn tonight. BARN PARTY! Woo Hoo!

Ordered my '05 headlights Wednesday night. They should be here early next week. And yeah I know, without pictures it didn't happen. SO when they get here I'll take some pictures. Maybe I'll even get cocky and make an install thread. You know, picture of the truck, picture of me drinking beer, picture of the removal of the head lights, picture of me drinking beer, picture of cutting out the panel, picture of me drinking beer, picture of hooking up the wires, picture of me drinking beer.... I mean, we'd want this to be an ACCURATE install thread, right? Overlooking NO details.

Know up Front, you need new electrical connectors.. I learned this after the install, drove a night with out headlights, just running lights.

Have fun up north. And everyone have a great weekend. I'm off to my barn. Where there is beer.

It's going to be a great time. Leaving first thing tomorrow morning.

Making chili tonight and packing the rest of my clothes.

Who else is going to take part in "the contest" this hunting season.

Still only have weekends to use, although I should go during the week< and spend time with the family on the weekend, but I dont believe the wife would enjoy that as much as I would.

Good morning my northern neighbors!

Well opening day was successful.

My 12 year old daughter was able to harvest a nice mature doe. The doe had another doe with her and what looked like a young 6 point buck...the buck was off property and didn't give us a good opportunity...and since my daughter is just learning how to hunt...I told her to shoot the big doe...this will help get her confidence up for her in harvesting deer...so she made a great shot on this doe...the buck...well...will look for a more mature one...

Here's a picture of Zoe with her deer...look at the smile!

Here is Zoe showing off her pink camo nail polish...

I'm planning on getting back out Wed and Thurs this week while she is in school...and then on Saturday morning by myself...we'll hunt together again on Sunday and then next week too...I really enjoy hunting with her in the same blind...but if she keeps shooting deer like this (this is her second of the year!)...I'm kicking her into her own stand or blind!...LOL...

Hope everyone has a great deer season...ours started out nicely...

Have a great week everyone,
Joe.

Keep killing those deer! They don't need to find themselves in front of an F-350!

Good Tuesday morning to my northern neighbors!

Well...it is going to be a short work week for me actually a short end of the year in the office for me.

I'm taking off tomorrow and Thursday to deer hunt...trying to get one for pappa this time...Zoe's two up on me already this year! LOL...temps are going to be dropping tonight...FINALLY perhaps the deer can start moving!...they really weren't moving very good last weekend...between the heat and wind...but who am I to complain...Zoe got one and almost had a shot at a little fork horn to boot the next day!!!

Then I'm taking off Mon to Wed next week...some tasks around the house then deer hunting too.

Then I head out to SoCal for the next 3 weeks...and then we leave for our cruise on December 17th and don't get back until December 29th...we're spending 3 extra nights in San Juan...

I've still got 208 hours of vacation to use and I need to get down to 80 for carry over...my current plans have me using 120 hours in the next 6 weeks...I know...I know...I'm very fortunate to have so much vacation time...I start the year with 240 plus the 80 carryover so I start with EIGHT WEEKS!!!

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!

joe.
