auto high idle??
I bough an 03 7.3L recently and i believe it has a superchips tune on it. Going with DP soon, but on the first start of the day if it's cold (below 45 degrees) after it idles for a minute it will kick up the idle to 1100 rpm. if i touch the gas or clutch it goes to normal. If I let it idle more it will go back up to 1100. Do you think this is part of the tune, or is this how they all are in the cold?

that is how they all are. for a stick, the ebrake has to be on with the lite on the dash too. nothing to worry about, but it will only do it in cold starts, in the summer it wont do that. good luck with the new truck
