Factory Tachometer Sticking

My original factory tachometer is sticking when the the weather is real cold. Sometimes it stays down for a while and slowly comes back up, and others it shoots way up at fast idle and stays there for a long time before it finally comes back down and works normally again. During the summer, it doesn't stick at all.

What can I do to help this?

Needle's broken on mine so not sure what it's doing now. But when it worked it was sluggish till it warmed up a little.

Mine does the the same thing, according to previous threads you need to carefully take the tach appart and clean some crap out of it. Apparently there is some type of glue or something that causes problems over time. I was going to fix mine today but I didn't get to it.
