Hey guys I have 1977 F-150 4X4 and the other day when I got in the truck to start it I noticed a buzzing coming from my driver side and I thought it would go off and it continued to stay on. Now every time the truck is on the buzzing remains on. Also about the same time this started occuring my cd player in the truck I have seemed like it lost some of it's juice because the sub doesn't seem to be beating like it was and the treble is really shrill to my ears now. I am more concerned over the buzzing than the audio issues at this time.
I don't want it to get too hot and burn out and I don't wanna drive it long distances constantly buzzing as it is a bit irritating. I have concluded it is definitely isolated to the driver side and I searched the forums and found where there had been seat belt buzzers going crazy but they don't just flip out without cause. I feel like i am going in blind because wiring is not my strong point. Any input is appreciated.
Check the wiring to the speakers on that side. You'll probably find one of them frayed and shorting out to something. If it's picking up any power from another wire you'll hear it even with the stereo off.
I believe it is coming from under the dash. Does this mean the relay has gone bad?*Update* It is definitely coming from the relay under the dash but I don't have a clue what is causing it.

Reason: Update
When it's buzzing, touch it, you should feel the vibration. Unplug the one's that's doing all the vibrating, replace it with a new one. If I remember correctly, they are pretty cheap. If it still buzzes with the new one, there is a problem in the circuit. Or try and chase the wires before buying a new one, but depending on the price, it's worth it sometimes to just try replacing the part. I would not try this method if the parts were expensive.
