Site Themes
I'm sure this isn't exactly the place to post this, but I've given up on the suggestion/question ticket crap... Is there a way to set the FTE forum to the mobile theme for a small netbook so it can handle the site better?
I've asked the question under that suggestion/question ticket, but have never received any response. Does that thing even work?

http:// m.ford-trucks.com/forums is the url for the mobile version.
More info can be found here,,, https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...-the-site.html
BTW, are you using a mobile browser on the netbook? If so FTE should recognize this and offer the mobile version.

I'm not. I'm running Firefox on one of those Eee PC's when keeping tabs on things while watching the games. This site will run sloooooooow, but should be much faster with the mobile address. Thanks again.

Maybe you can provide some more details on your operating system for your netbook since FTE doesn't recognize it as a mobile operating system like the Android, Blackberry, Iphone, etc.
Does foxfire have a mobile browser and will it work on your netbook?

That is the problem. Your netbook runs an operating system like a laptop or PC as you call it. FTE mobile software recognizes you netbook or PC as a regular type computer and NOT a mobile device like the smartphones. Tablets, and smartphones operate with similar os I do believe.
Perhaps you can do a Google search and find an operating system for your netbook which will mirror the smartphone operating system like the android. I understand that Google has been working on one called Chrome OS to mirror their Chrome browser.
I have exhausted my expertise and it has been requested that one of FTE's IT guru's respond to this thread.
I am fairly certain they will tell us the same thing, that your netbook operating system is the problem.
BTW what brand netbook do you have?

Ok just got a reply from the IB techies,
I do not use foxfire so I am no help to you now.
Two ways to achieve that.
Turn developer mode on in firefox, and set the user agent to be something mobile, like Mobile Safari, and he'll be able to access m.ford-trucks.com from his netbook.
Alternately, he can browse via the archive version, which is text only.
