FTE mobile
So does anyone else think FTE mobile sucks? I used to just look at FTE on my phone in the standard view and was quite happy.
Now I no longer have that option. The mobile version just plain sucks. I can't jump to a page number, I can't see a threads author before I click it, and most importantly it has advertising in it. I paid money to get rid of all the advertising. And its dodge ads on top of that!
In short... what the hell, FTE? How can I turn this crap off?

Clear all the cache and cookies on your phone and restart FTE, when it asks you if you want to use the mobile version say "NO"!

In the address bar instead of m.ford-trucks... change it to www.ford-trucks.
That should do it.
I use the mobile version, yeah it sucks, but I don't spend a lot of time on it either. The ads have to go, pretty much all the complaints you have, I have, except my ads are for Chevy.
And, like the regular site on a pc, the mobile site takes forever to load too.

I feel like the mobile version has potential but they "Trimmed the fat" in all the wrong places. They should leave an option to find a specific page or go to the last page, leave the thread author, lose the ads.
Joe I tried to just ditch the m but it re-added itself. I went to settings > manage applications > all > internet and cleared all its data and it went back to the normal version.
My computer is old and awful so if I just want to catch up on my favorite areas of FTE I use my phone. It's faster for me.

The default first page was the biggest stumbling block, too much navigating. I prefer "Live" and stay with the current threads as they process.

I use a BB Bold 9700 and don't see ads on the mobile version. Though it seems to be a more sterile and simplified folder type setting; where i have to drill down to find what i'm looking for. It would be nice if all the categories/folders were minimized and only opened when i wanted them open.

Doesn't work on my iPhone 3gs.
If I have to decline the mobile version ONE more time I will have to buy a new phone because I'm going to throw the #^@%*!$ thing as far as I can.
I pay not to have see the ads... how much do I have to pay for this $#!* to go away???

I was almost tempted to make a bunch of bookmarks to my most commonly viewed subforums. But, like I said before, I don't spend a lot of time on fte mobile.
But being such a poorly designed site might have something to do with that.
