I personally would shoot for the Harley D version if you can find a nice one. The color combo's on those trucks are great. Always been my "dream" truck

it's not that they are less, or missing. it's just that the KR options you currently have aren't as refined in the SD...but they are there in the Lariat and higher trims. the 99-07 steering wheel is rather dated IMO. I know it's stupid, but it's my biggest complaint with the truck. I miss my 06 F-150 steeringwheel with the way the controls were laid out .
I agree, but that is based purely on the extra features
better front suspension
dash
all the "lessons learned" from the 03-05 trucks
Inst. Cluster
they really are all the same thing. Trust me though, coming from your F-150, you will notice the lack of features the SD has vs. the F-150. Ford neglected the SD in the ammenities department until 2008 IMO.
'05 - '07 were actually the years for the coil front suspension, dash, instrument cluster, etc.
Did the Super Duty's of this year range have the option of having navigation? Do the side mirrors have the powerfold option? I am almost positive there wasn't a back-up camera available.
I would try to find an 07 so you still have some powertrain warranty left. There can be hidden issues like mine had that are not noticeable until it is under a load. This is the oil cooler/ egr cooler issue.
Also watch what you pay as dealers are usually offering quite a bit less than trade in for them so they have a lot of room. My example is full retail was 27k, trade in was 22k, but most dealers only wanted to give 17 to 18k in trade. Trust me, I went to about 10 dealers. That means they are usually winning to get rid of them for several thousand under book too.
Because of this, they tend to sit on the lot, which causes rusting in the turbo and stuck veins. Lol not saying it will have them, but make sure you get proper boost when you romp on it.
What kind of mileage is everyone getting city/hwy? I am getting roughly 13-14 city / 19 - 20 hwy now in the F150.
After the mods I did, 20 or so around 70 mph, 22 or so around 60 mph, 17-18 or so at 85. 13-15 on regular commute with part in town, part freeway. I did track every tank with an app on my phone so those are accurate, hand calculated.
Prior to the mods about 1 less on the freeway, about the same in town.
