Subwoofer question

Does anyone know if our trucks are pre-wired for the subwoofer? Another words can I just add the sub to my truck. I don't have it now but I do have the premium 6 disk sound system.

I know Dodge uses the same wiring harness in all their trucks so you can add just about any option, plug it in to the oem plug and it will work. I'm not sure if Ford does it this way.

If you don't have a factory Sony 8" beneath the rear seat, then your truck is NOT prewired. I would suggest looking into the Kicker Substage. I put one in my truck recently to replace the Sony POS and it's quite the upgrade. 10" sub with a 200w amp attached to it. It's a nice piece that looks factory.

Appreciate the reply.... I asked this question in 2011, 3 years ago, I'm about to trade the EcoBoost in for a Super Duty.
