More newb questions

1. '04 F250 fx4 lariat. Where is my engine plug? its getting cold and I can't find it.

2. On the passenger side of the engine. There is a tube sticking up. diameter just smaller than a golf ball. Its plastic. the top is threaded with coarse threads. looks like something should be threaded on there. the threads are in the tube not on the outside. last night I noticed it was open and had no cap. Is there supposed to be a cap on that?

Take a picture of the tube your talking about, it might help us out.

As for the cord, look under the pass side exhaust manifold, it might be tied up around that area.

Look from underneath.

1. should be on the passenger side by the fog lights. If you lay under the truck you will see it. There were some that didn't come with a cord. Don't remember what years or anything just know that some don't have it from the factory. here is a theard about the routing. It might help you. DTS Articles - 6.0L Block Heater Cord Location and Routing

2. Can you take a picture of the tube you are talking about? Is it on the valve cover? Maybe the oil fill tube? If you can post a pic we will be able to tell you what it is.

This is looking at the front of the motor. Are you talking the tube on the left side, which would be the passenger side near the windshield. If so, Oil Fill Tube.

Sounds like the oil fill tube. That cap is sort of important!

Thanks for the oil change! a couple thousand miles ago the local shop left the oil fill cap off .

Should I ever run injector cleaner through this thing?
