I live in a small community in rural Iowa (300 people). We are mostly a Ford dominated area. My wife says that the dogs get confused because they hear "me" coming home all day long and run to where I park.
It's a mix around here. The neighbor across the street owns a Dodge, and the neighbor next to him owns a GMC. We all agree that my Ford is the best truck, though. LOL
i think that around here, its about 75-80% SD's as far as work trucks go.
as for personal trucks, about 40% SD/other ford, and the rest are a good mix.
honestly though, most tow trucks are dodges. i guess the local builder has a deal with dodge or maybe they have a better chassis for stripping out for tow truck use.
there are also a TON of beat up, dented, 350k plus mile XL SD's around here. all 2wd, reg cabs or CC's. all towing huge trailers stuffed to the brim with equipment of some kind
I make lots of deliveries to construction sites. What I've noticed is that the job supervisors that mainly use their truck as an office mostly drive Chevys. The trucks that actually get used for work are almost all SDs, even if they are owned by the same contractor as the supervisor that's driving the Chevy.
Very heavy with Super Duties/Fords here as well. Matter of fact town only has 1 new dealer and its a Ford. If you go to Muscle Shoals, Cullman, Decatur, Florance, Athans, Huntsville the biggest dealerships are Ford dealers.
Around here it's probably 65% Ford, 20% dodge, and 15% chevy. We have a lot of older toyota's running around, but never hauling anything. All of our service/fleet trucks are Ford up here.
I spend a lot of time at the oregon dunes and I would say between 80-85% of toyhaulers up there are pulled by fords. Those numbers have to say something to the average consumer...
Lots of SD's around here, but then again the only dealership on the island is a FORD dealership.
We also have 01 Walmart and 01 MacDonalds 40 miles of road and 36 bars.

I live smack dab in the middle of a medium sized city. There are a ton of trucks. Most of the work trucks are SD's. Most of the trucks for "personal" use are SD's. Although now that diesel trucks are so popular you'll see quite a few Dodge's. Very few heavy duty GM products but a fair amount of 1500 series trucks.
At my favorite riding spot its almost all SD's on a givin weekend. My truck usually stands out as the only V10 aroound all those oil burners haha. We own 3 vehicles and thier all Fords. Matter of fact thier all white too. I'm able to buy my oil in bulk!
Where I stay in rural Colorado I would say its about 60% SD 30% GM and 10% Dodge. If I go into town its about 80% Dodge 10% a piece SD and GM. So I guess the working trucks stay out of the city.
On an intresting note I'm deployed to Afghanistan right now and any truck here that is not military is either a 03-07 SD or a diesel Toyota Hilux, bout a 50-50 mix. Tons of Excursions that are all up armored. There are even some newer 08+ 550s running around, but all and all if its a full size its a 6.0 PSD
