Tuesday I drove 6 hours to promote a good friend, and former co-worker, to Master Gunnery Sergeant (MGySgt E-9, highest enlisted rank) in the Marine Corps We'd morning. 9 months ago he asked me to promote him when his number came up. He thanked me for making him the Marine he is. After the promotion ceremony we had a little talk before his command meeting, and he teared up a bit. It was an honor for me to be asked to do this. I'm so proud of him.

(Note my F350 King Ranch photo bombing in the background lol. A gunnery Sergeant was taking the pics for me.)
