95 F350 steering problem
Hi
I have a 1995 F 350 extended cab dually 7.3 diesel. I love the old beast but I have had a steering problem with it lately. The truck wonders all over the road and I’m starting to hate even driving it. Forget trying to pull a trailer with it.
So far I have put in..
New ball joints, new steering box, new tie rods. the rest of the joints are solid no play at all. I have had it aligned twice and it still won’t drive down the road straight. The last guy that aligned my truck said it was because of what he called memory steering. He said the ball joints are to tight and that I should put in all new ball joints again for $750 dollars. Has any one heard of memory Steering? Any one have any idea what could be wrong.

What would cause the ball joints to be tight all of them are new and have only been in the truck a couple of months. Is it possible they where bad to begin with?
I went to another parts store an asked to see some new ball joints. I couldn’t move the stud with my hand. Is that the way they are suppose to be?

Thank you for posting.
No i'm not sure it's memory steer. That's what the mechanic told me it was. Not sure but i don't think there are axel joints, It's a twin I beam 2 wheel drive.
Don't know how they could have been installed wrong but i suppose they might have been.
All i really know for sure is almost every thing in the front is new or still in good shape. And the fact that it wears me out because i have to constantly move the steering wheel from left to right to keep it on the road.
