Banks system???

I asked this in the SD forum, but this is probably a more appropriate place. I have an 02 350 PSD crew LB with a 4" lift and 35's. I am considering getting a Banks, but I wanted to hear some experiences, and I wanted to know which package you suggest? I don't carry heavy loads often. I put on a 2000 pound camper for vacation, but I'm most concerned with MPG and throttle response. Thanks...

Banks system???

I can only respond to the system I installed. The Banks Monster 4" Turbo back system. Installation was easy due to the quality fit of all of the components. They were all perfect. The only problem I had was there was no insulation for the down pipe. they sent the clamps to hold it on, but not the insulation. When I called the vendor I ordered it from, he said that it wasn't really necessary. I think I'll call Banks and ask their tech dept. about it.
I also bought a Superchips Micro-Tuner. Does a good job, except for the tranny shifts. Does nothing there.

P.S. I did notice a mild MPG increase, oddly enough its with the tuner on the 80hp vs. the 60hp. Throttle response is excellant, especially at higher speeds, then its awesome!

Banks system???

I installed the stinger kit on my 01 F350. The installation was easy allthough I should have installed the transcommand BEFORE the exhaust to make it easier. I also noticed a slight increase in milage and the power is there once you start moving. Now for the bad. I have found out that once you purchase from Banks they seem to blow you off when you try to contact them, at least that has been my experiance. Also, it's an expensive system. you can find parts that will do the same thing at a way cheaper price. The chip that they supply doesn's seem to on par with what is being touted in these pages. Wish I would have gone that way. Hope this helps.

Banks system???

I have the powerpack system on a modified engine and transmission. I recomend it to anyone thinking of actually using their truck for anything other than carrying people about.
