According to their warranty page on the website. They offer a whopping 90 day warranty on the pump and state you cannot use ATF in there. I don't know if the hydroboost system requires the ATF or if it's the pump, but I'm not sure I want to experiment with her truck.
Looks interesting, but that appears to deal more with assist for the steering box. I've just got a leaky pump to fix.
Yes its a pump with a assist for about 1k. not sure how yours is but mine wheel has always been hard to turn when sitting still or moving slow. i just put a new pump i bought from ford and its still hard to turn. not the best pump / gear ratio from the factory.
I have larger tires(285's) as well and the new pump did not help in parking lots when still or trying to get in a tight spot.I just park way out anyway. Not sure what the fix is for tight steering when still?I know alot of us have that problem when you go with the wider/aggressive tires.
Ram assist is pretty easy to build yourself. No reason to spend that kind cash on something you build yourself for the price of a cylinder and two hoses. It is simply finding out where to drill the box and mounting the cylinder.

OK, so just where does one drill for the fittings?
I didn't want anything to do with modifying my box. I mailed mine to psc.
It is just plain expensive if you want hydro assist. I spent 150$ on just the fittings and hoses. The ram was 200 bucks... Then the mount? Then you really need a reservoir and most likely a pump. Then hope that when you install it you current pump doesn't take a dump... Like mine did... Lol

I run 305-70-16's and so long as I'm not standing on the brakes ( I have a 6 speed man . which I'm sure makes it easier in tight quarters) the steering seems fine I also run about 65 psi or higher in my front tires.
Although very interesting and useful for those who want to go in that direction none of the power ram upgrades address the problem the stock power steering pump has and that is the plastic reservoir. I think what Chris is looking for is a pump without a plastic reservoir. Just my 2 cents.
